Melissa McBride

Melissa McBride is the Chief of Compliance for the Contractor Registration and Compliance, Plumber Certification and Licensing programs of the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. 

Melissa began her career regulating contractors in 1998, working for Contractor Registration as an office assistant.  Melissa has worked every position in the program before becoming Chief in 2021. She has extensive knowledge of the Contractor Registration laws, policies, and procedures which led to her being named Chief.  

Melissa became involved with the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) in 2012, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since that time. She is a Past President, serving in 2017-2018, and currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee, Fiscal Strategy Committee, Advocacy & Partnership Committee, and Nomination Committee.
