National Awards

The National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) began its National Awards program in 2005 to elevate the recognition of excellence within the regulation of contracting and the construction community.  The National Awards promote and support the positive outreach that is happening within the construction industry.  The Community Service in Contracting Award and the Innovation in Regulation Award are presented every three years at the NASCLA Annual Conference.

Community Service In Contracting Award

The Community Service in Contracting Award was created to recognize the positive impact that contractors or construction related associations have on their communities. With this award, the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) wants to showcase the countless hours and efforts that these organizations make by either raising funds for charitable causes or contributing their time, labor and materials to charities.

Innovation In Regulation Award

The Innovation In Regulation Award is given to a state contractor licensing agency in recognition of a program that has made a difference in the regulation of construction, and has produced results that exemplify the definition of innovation: Process by which an idea or invention is translated into a good or service.

NASCLA created this award to recognize innovation, creativity and excellence in the regulation of the contracting/construction industry.  Public sector contractor licensing agencies are invited to nominate agencies that have demonstrated these attributes according to the criteria listed below.
