NASCLA'S 4th Annual Mission Brings Relief to New Mexico Communities

On December 3, 2024, NASCLA, in partnership with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department and the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM), hosted its 4th Annual Mission to provide emergency kits to New Mexico residents impacted by natural disasters, including the South Fork and Salt Fires near Ruidoso (Lincoln and Otero Counties), the Hermit’s Peak and Calf Canyon Fires (San Miguel and Mora Counties), and recent historic flooding in Roswell (Chavez County).
"This mission reflected the core values of NASCLA—collaboration, service, and a commitment to making a positive impact on communities in need," said David Fogt, NASCLA President and Registrar of the California Contractors State License Board. "We were proud to join forces with dedicated partners to bring aid to families facing the challenges of recovery after these devastating events."
Sponsored by Lowe’s Installation Services, this initiative highlighted the power of collaboration. NASCLA members and volunteers packed the kits, while DHSEM ensured they reached affected families.
“This mission reflected NASCLA’s commitment to supporting communities in need,” said Angie Whitaker, NASCLA Executive Director.
Special thanks were given to Lowe’s Installation Services, the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department, and DHSEM for their invaluable support in helping families rebuild and find resilience.
